Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026.
This policy explains what information Genfy ("we", "the site") collects when you visit genfy.net, how we use it, who we share it with and what your rights are. By using the site you accept the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Genfy is a site of free online generators and tools. The data controller is the Genfy team. For any privacy question, write to privacy@genfy.net.
2. Information we collect
Genfy is a no-signup site: we don't ask for email, name or account. Most generators run entirely in your browser, which means the content you enter (for example, text for a QR code or a password) is not sent to or stored on our servers.
What we automatically receive when you visit:
- Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, device, operating system).
- Pages visited and time on page.
- Traffic source (search engine, link, direct).
3. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) for three purposes:
- Functional: remembering your preferences, such as language or your consent choice. These are necessary and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics: understanding, in aggregate, which generators are most used, to improve them. Enabled by default; you can disable them anytime from the cookie banner or preferences panel.
- Advertising: showing ads and, if you consented, personalizing them. See section 4.
4. Advertising — Google AdSense
Genfy uses Google AdSense, a Google advertising service, to sustain the site. Please note:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on Genfy. Google's DART cookie enables it to serve ads to users based on their visits to Genfy and other sites on the Internet.
- Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and identifiers to show more relevant ads based on your activity.
- You can opt out of Google's personalized advertising by visiting Google's ad settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com.
- You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Consent and European Economic Area users
We show a banner where you can accept, reject or configure analytics and advertising cookies, using Google Consent Mode v2. Personalized advertising and ad cookies stay off by default until you give consent; without it, only non-personalized ads are shown. Aggregate analytics is on by default and you can disable it at any time. You can change your preferences whenever you want from the banner or the preferences panel. If you visit us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your GDPR rights (section 9) also apply.
6. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (most visited pages, devices, traffic sources). Google Analytics may use cookies and process your IP address in an anonymized way. We do not use this data to personally identify you. More information in Google's privacy policy.
7. Legal basis and retention
We process technical data based on our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the site, and analytics and advertising data based on your consent. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' retention periods; we do not maintain our own databases of personally identifiable information.
8. Third parties
In addition to Google AdSense and Google Analytics, the site is served through Cloudflare infrastructure, which may process technical data (such as your IP) to deliver content and protect the site. We do not sell or share your data with other third parties for marketing purposes.
9. Your rights
If you reside in the EU, UK, California or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw your consent. Write to privacy@genfy.net and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Children
Genfy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The last update date appears at the top. Continued use of the site after a change implies acceptance of the current version.
