Does Lorem Ipsum have translation or real meaning?

The original Cicero fragment did have philosophical meaning about pain and pleasure. But modern Lorem Ipsum is so altered (truncated words, inserted syllables) that it's mostly incomprehensible even to Latinists.

Why not just use 'text text text'?

Because it doesn't reflect realistic distribution of letters, short/long words, or visual rhythm of natural language. Lorem Ipsum has length variation and character frequency similar to English/Spanish, making design more accurate.

Is it legal to use Lorem Ipsum in commercial projects?
